HTC Butterfly 3 to be launched in the second half of the year, new HTC tablet might arrive in Q2 or Q3

Besides getting ready to unveil the One M9 and One M9 Plus at MWC 2015 next month, HTC is also preparing the release of a new Butterfly smartphone, expected to be called Butterfly 3. However, the new Butterfly may not be announced in the near future. According to @upleaks, HTC intends to launch the Butterfly 3 sometime in the second half of the year.

As reported earlier today, the Butterfly 3 should sport a 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display, thus being a tad larger than its predecessor, the Butterfly 2 - pictured on the left. Since the Butterfly 2 is a water-resistant handset, we're expecting the new model to have this capability, too.

Another thing that @upleaks revealed is related to the long-rumored HTC tablet. Reportedly, the slate should be introduced in the second, or third quarter of the year - so it could happen in April the earliest, or in September the latest. There aren't too many details about this tablet, but rumor has it that it may be based on the Nexus 9, thus being an 8.9-inch high-end device. Hopefully, new info will arrive soon. Yoursalephones
