Official HTC One M9 renders, price, and (almost) full specs leaked
According to German website MobileGeeks (a reliable source, from what we've noticed), what we're seeing below are official HTC One M9 renders. What's more, the website says it knows the upcoming handset's price, and claims to have an exhaustive list of features.
The renders show the "gunmetal grey" and "gold on silver" variants of the One M9, and are in line with many of the previously leaked images that allegedly showed HTC's new flagship smartphone.
There are no surprises when it comes to the specs of the One M9. Reportedly, the new HTC handset offers a 5-inch 1080p display, and is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core, 2.0 GHz Snapdragon 810 processor. The M9 has a 20 MP rear camera with dual LED flash, and what's said to be a 4 MP UltraPixel camera on the front. Furthermore, we have 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, and microSD card support (up to 128 GB). Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7 UI will be on board. BoomSound speakers, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, and LTE connectivity (up to 300 Mbps) are also included. The new One should be 9.61mm thin, while weighing 157.5 grams. What about its battery? Well, this should be a 2900 mAh one.
MobileGeeks has it that HTC will sell the One M9 starting April in Germany, for €749, so we should expect the device to cost around $750 in the US (off contract).
All in all, it seems that, lately, HTC just can't keep its secrets. As you may know, images and videos of last year's One (M8) were making the rounds on the internet well ahead of the handset's official announcement. Anyway, take a look at the renders below, and let us know if you like what you're seeing.
P.S.: HTC will officially showcase the One M9 on March 1 at MWC 2015, when a One M9 Plus (with a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen) is also expected to be announced.
Update: these renders seem to have originated from the website of German retailer CyberPort. But MobileGeeks says they show the real One M9 anyway. We'll just have to wait until March 1 to find out how accurate the images are. Source
