Google Nexus 6 for Verizon shows up, should be released soon

Verizon is the only major US mobile carrier that doesn't offer the Motorola-made Google Nexus 6, but this will change sometime soon. While we still don't know just how soon that is, a Verizon-branded Nexus 6 appeared today, allowing us to see that it bears the carrier's logo on the rear shell. Posted by Phandroid and coming from a "trusted source", the renders showing Verizon's Nexus 6 don't let us take a look at its front side, but we imagine that the handset can't be too different from the variants which can already be purchased.

There is no word on how much the Nexus 6 will cost at Verizon. However, since other carriers are selling the smartphone for $249 on contract, we should probably expect to see a similar price.

When it's finally released, the Nexus 6 will become one of Verizon's largest smartphones ever. The handset's features include a 6-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD), stock Android Lollipop, a Snapdragon 805 processor (quad-core, 2.7 GHz), 3 GB of RAM, 13 MP rear camera, and a 3220 mAh battery with wireless charging capabilities. Verizon is already offering a Quad HD smartphone made by Motorola: the Droid Turbo, which is available starting at $199.99 on contract. Source
